I'm Prego, and I Know it....

The other day LMFAO came on the radio, and I just couldn't help but change the lyrics. As I ran errands and tried to not think too much about the stares a prego girl gets, I just sang in my head..

Ahh Girl look at that body (x3)
I-I-I popped out
Ahh Girl look at that body (x3)
I-I-I popped out

When I walk in the spot, yeah this is what I see
Everybody stops and they staring at me
I got a belly band on my pants and I ain't afraid to show it, show it, show it, show it

I'm prego, and I know it....

Ah, shoot...this makes me laugh. Maybe it is because I am teetering on the edge of anxiousness, back pain, stress at work, and I could use a good old laugh. As we work our way further into February, you may have noticed some of our blogs have taken to a self-esteem movement. Being pregnant, I definitely think this is a must and perfect timing. However, it can be quite easy to forget about the beautiful life you are growing and instead become frustrated with how clothes fit/comments people make/cellulite on your booty cheeks and thighs. To help combat this, I have bought some cute dresses from TJMaxx that I can easily wear with leggings and wedge heels until my feet can't take it (keep your eyes peeled for snapshots of my trying on from the dressing room). I have also brushed aside (or have I?) the many comments people feel they have free reign to make- "Wow, you have really popped!"/"So you finally bought jean leggings?" (Um...sorry, these are my same jeans... one of the few that still fit...just tighter thank you very much. The most recent, "You definitely walk much slower now." I really had to hold my breath on this last one. Seriously!? I wanted to come back with a whole retort of comments:

When is the last time you wore heels to work?
I wasn't in any particular rush.
If I didn't have a horrible night sleep and crazy back pain maybe I would have more pep in my step.

Yikes! I really just wrote that. Better to think it than to say it. Overall, however, nothing beats the feeling of a quick little jab "hello" in the tummy. The body in all its forms is quite delightful. Thanks for listening!

With Love From the West Coast,
XOXO
