Faux Tan

As you all know from a prior post and my tweets I am a loyal Kate Somerville fan.  I rave about her Somerville360 tanning towelettes or as I call them Sun in a Box.  I was gifted Bare Escentuals Faux Tan about 6 months ago...yes 6 months ago.  I have been nervous to try it out and part of me felt like I was cheating on Kate.  But we here at LBD are not only loyal to our favorite products but also our readers so I figure Resort Week was the perfect time to try it out and tell our readers my thoughts.  Don't forget to exfoliate before applying.  

I did like that the smell was not overwhelming and smelt like coco tanning oil. The brush was perfect too I did not stain my hands. 

I thought I would try it out on my legs...Here is a before shot

This is the color the lotion comes out which was nice because you are able to see what you were working with.

When you use the brush to rub it in you are able to see the spots you miss.

Here is a shot with one before and one after leg.  I do like how natural the color looks, it was subtle.

Overall I would recommend this product, it dried quickly and did not rub off on my clothes.  However as the night went on the color turned darker, which was still OK because when I showered in the morning I felt like a layer of color washed off and I was back to a subtle glow.

What self tanner do you recommend?
