Tweedin' This Season

Tweed is a fabric that has stood the fashion test of time. When you think of tweed a few words come to mind...classic, politicians, Coco Chanel, Burberry or maybe even your grandma. Well, I am here to tell you that Tweed is not your grandma's fabric anymore.

Not sure how to incorporate Tweed into your wardrobe this Fall/Winter? Here are a few helpful tips:

1) Tweed looks good in small doses. Pair a cute tweed jacket with a pair of trouser pants and cute pumps.

2) Mix up textures. As you know, tweed has more of a rough texture feel to it. So to soften this up, add a soft silk or a few feminine touches to your outfit.

3) Add color. Tweed carries many hues in the weave, find a color you like and use it as an accent color.

4) Need to take baby steps? Try a pair of tweed loafers or a tweed bag.

Remember when adding Tweed or anything new to your wardrobe, you need to find a way to make it your own.
