Your Hair Is One Of Your Best Accessories

You asked, and we are excited to deliver. I gathered your top questions regarding hair coloring and styling. Since we are not the hair experts here at LBD, I spoke with Kelly Friello, co-owner and hair stylist at Karizma Hair Studio. This was one of my favorite interviews. I have known Kelly for years; she only became my hair stylist about six years ago. I wish I went to her earlier to avoid my many hair styling faux pas. I love her fun sense of humor, and her honesty about what looks will and will not work for you. I have discovered over the years that you need to be comfortable and trust your hair stylist. After all your hair is one of your best accessories. No matter which stylist you choose for the task at Karizma Hair Studio, you will not be disappointed. The entire crew is great!

LBD: Is there a trick to cover up my grays in between my colors?
K: I tell my clients, you can take eye shadow that is close to your color, wet it and dab on your roots.

LBD: Do you have any helpful tips to grow out bangs?
K: Braids are really popular right now, you can braid your bangs into your longer pieces to help keep out of your face. (Kelly is rocking this look in her picture, it really is so cute!)

LBD: What over the counter shampoos and conditions do you suggest?
K: Truthfully, I don't...most people think store brand shampoos/conditioners are cheaper, but there really isn't a big price difference. You can use less with Salon brands so they last longer and they are better for your hair. You spend all this money on getting your hair done, you want it to last and look healthy.

LBD: What are the most requested looks and color you have been receiving for this fall?
K: I have been getting a lot for the Inverted Bob (short in the back long in front). Colors...warmer richer tones, red/copper.

LBD: What suggestions do you have to repair summer damage?
K: Favorite new thing is the 10 hair mask to repair summer damage. It’s not expensive and sold at salons. You don’t only have to use it to repair summer damage; it’s a great product all around.

LBD: Juiciest confession you heard from your chain?
K: Hmm…The Whole story of her love affair, down to the secret love notes lol

LBD: Biggest pet peeve we do as customers that hair stylish hates?
K: No call No show!!
