Price Upon Request...

I have always loved perusing fashion magazines, and over the years one thing has always bothered me. Some items are listed as "price upon request." I just assumed the item was too outrageously priced and poor little me would never be able to afford it anyway. I did a little research and found out this is not always the case. Some items are actually never made for production, and are therefore unavailable for sale. Some magazines just tag the items as "price upon request" making us all feel unnecessarily unworthy. If the price of an item is not available when a mag goes to print, it may also take on the misnomer. Each fashion magazine has its own set of confusing rules. You can check out the full scoop here: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/06/fashion/06PRICE.html?_r=1&ref=style&oref=slogin. If a magazine is recommending styles to us, they should have the decency to include the price. Also, they should try to exclude using merchandise that will never see the light of day.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think fashion magazines are saddled up on the high-horse? We love hearing your thoughts!

With Love From the West Coast,

xoxo
